By India Today Sports DeskIndia will be heading to Port Of Spain, Trinidad, aiming to close the series in their favour and maintain their good run in the West Indies as both teams lock horns in the second Test, starting on Thursday.

The visitors registered a convincing win over the West Indies in the first Test thanks to the heroics of Yashasvi Jaiswal and R Ashwin. Captain Rohit Sharma also got into form, scoring his 10th Test hundred.

The second Test match between India and West Indies is expected to face weather-related challenges. The forecast for the five-day event predicts a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. However, the weather conditions are not as straightforward as they seem.

Rain is anticipated to play a significant role on the opening day of the Test match, potentially disrupting the proceedings. Overcast conditions are expected to prevail throughout the day at the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago, with a high chance of rain interruptions during the first session. Despite these gloomy predictions, a bit of sunshine is expected from 3 PM to 6 PM, providing some respite from the otherwise cloudy conditions.

Accuweather’s overall weather forecast for Port of Spain suggests a morning shower in places, followed by mostly cloudy conditions. The precipitation level is predicted to be close to 50 percent, and the humidity level could reach as high as 74 percent.

India haven’t made any changes to their squad and could possibly retain the same playing XI for the match. West Indies have roped in young spinner Kevin Sinclair for the match in place of Raymon Reifer.
