Vivo T2 coming to India on April 11, likely to take on iQOO Z7

The Vivo T2 will likely take on the likes of the iQOO Z7 smartphone, which is also targeted at those who prefer performance over other features.

Vivo is promoting its latest phone on social media, saying that its new 5G phone will “make multitasking easier.” The company has also used “TurboLife” word in its teasers, suggesting that people will get fast performance with the Vivo T2 smartphone. We will only be able to comment on this when we review it.

While the chipset name is yet to be revealed by the brand, the leaks claim that the new Vivo phone is using a Snapdragon 695 SoC, which has powered several mid-range phones priced under Rs 20,000. This is a decent chipset that can offer good enough as long as you don’t push it to its limit, as per experience. But, the performance is a little different on every phone because of the fine-tuning and the software that every unit ships with. The name of the chip is also yet to be confirmed and so, users are advised to take the details with a pinch of salt.

We do know that the Vivo T2 has a full HD+ AMOLED panel, as per the teasers published on Flipkart. The panel has 1,300nits of peak brightness, which means that the device will have a bright screen and one won’t likely have issues in sunlight. We don’t get to see phones in the lower segment with this high maximum brightness level support.

The teaser has also confirmed that this 5G phone will feature a punch-hole display design and a dual camera setup at the back. It will have a boxy design, which seemingly has become a trend because several OEMs are launching phones with the same design.

The launch event will start at 12:00PM, as per the details revealed by the Chinese company. The Vivo T2 will be available for purchase via Flipkart, considering the teasers for the launch have been posted on this e-commerce platform. It will be introduced in two colours with a gradient finish. More details about the upcoming phone are expected to be revealed soon. The Vivo T2 will likely be priced under Rs 20,000 segment.
