Tata Nexon, Punch, Tiago Altroz, othersAutomaker clocks domestic PV growth of 7% in February

By India Today Auto DeskHomegrown auto major Tata Motors today posted a growth of over 7% year-on-year (y-o-y) in the domestic passenger vehicle (PV) wholesales in February 2023 as the sport utility vehicles (SUVs) like Nexon and Punch continued their strong performance.

The PV volumes of the company stood at 42,862 units in February 2023, a rise of 7.2% y-o-y over 39,981 units sold in the year-ago month.

Other than Nexon and Punch, Tata Motors sells SUVs like the 2023 Harrier and the 2023 Safari. The company also sells Tiago hatchback, Altroz premium hatchback and Tigor compact sedan.

The company recently launched Harrier and Safari with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and several other new features, including a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster and a 360-degree camera.

Tata Motors has also updated its entire PV range with engines that comply with the upcoming real driving emission (RDE) and E20 fuel norms.

The domestic commercial vehicle (CV) wholesales of the company increased 3.69% y-o-y at 35,144 units in February 2023 from 33,894 units in the same month last year.

The company sells popular CVs like Tata Intra, Tata Ace, Tata 407, Tata Ultra, Tata Prima, Tata Signa, Tata Starbus and Tata Cityride.

The overall domestic volumes of the company, including PVs and CVs, jumped 5.59% y-o-y at 78,006 units in February 2023. It came in at 73,875 units in February 2023.
