Sonam Kapoor's pristine off-shoulder gown for King Charles III's coronation concert has a desi connection

While celebrities like Tom Cruise, Katy Perry, Natasha Poonawalla, and even Lionel Richie were spotted at the grand occasion called the coronation concert on Sunday (May 7), Sonam Kapoor, made a stunning appearance for her spoken introduction on stage.

While the moment was a historic event, Sonam’s outfit choice was quite a spectacle as well.

She wore a blended combination of European style with a desi twist as her pristine white gown was a collaborative effort by two designers – Emilia Wickstead and Anamika Khanna.

Sharing pictures of her look for the coronation concert on Instagram, Sonam wrote, “Historic moments call for fashion moments. I’m honored to mark the unforgettable occasion of the #Coronationconcert by wearing the collaborative vision of two of the most incredible designers from the two countries I’m lucky to call home.”

Anamika Khanna’s creations have been statement choices for Sonam, even during one of her wedding functions, same as Emilia Wickstead.

The two celebrated designers created a wonderfully designed floral Bardot gown that complemented Sonam’s bodice. The gown had off-shoulder detailing and a fitted silhouette that extended into a flowy floor-sweeping gown. The patterns on the outfit featured all kinds of florals in blue, red, pink, yellow, purple and green.

The voluminous skirt made for the perfect outfit choice for the occasion as Sonam Kapoor kept her look simple, elegant yet glorious.

For her hair and makeup, the diva flaunted her long tresses, added a side partition and then let her hair flow into stunning fuller curls. Brown eyeshadow, glossy lips and bronzed contouring didn’t overpower the ensemble but complemented the subtle tones.

Abiding by her choice of minimalism, Sonam just adorned her look with drop earrings and blingy statement rings.
