Skoda launches Slavia Anniversary Edition and Kushaq Lava Blue Edition


Banking on the popularity of the sedan and the SUV, the company has launched these two exclusive editions with a different look and some features.

By Auto TodaySkoda has launched the Slavia anniversary edition as the sedan has completed a year of being on sale. Alongside the sedan, the brand has also launched the Kushaq Lava Blue Edition. Both the special edition models are offered above the top-spec trims of the Slavia and the Kushaq. Prices start at Rs 17.28 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Slavia Anniversary edition and Rs 17.99 lakh for the Kushaq Lava Blue edition.

Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition

The Kushaq Lava Blue, as the name suggests, comes with a Lava Blue exterior shade, which has been a popular colour with the Octavia, Superb and the Kodiaq. This also marks the first time that Skoda’s India 2.0 car gets this colour. The special edition also gets the signature grille where the vertical ribs come garnished with chrome and the side body cladding too gets chrome. The SUV gets special edition badging, textile mats, plush pillows and puddle lamps.

Skoda Slavia has completed a year in the market. To celebrate this milestone, the Slavia Anniversary edition gets exclusive badging around the car such as on the steering, the scuff plates, the C-pillar. Similar to the Kushaq Lava Blue, the grille and the side cladding feature chrome accents. Other features include aluminium pedals, a 10-inch infotainment display with wireless Smartphone connectivity.

Both the Slavia and the Kushaq special editions are available with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This motor makes 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. The cars are available with an option of a 6-speed manual or a DSG transmission. There is also a smaller 1.0-litre turbo petrol offered with both the models.
