By Dipali Patel2 hours, 25 songs – It indeed was a PERFECT Sunday evening for all Ed Sheeran fans as the British singer returned to Australia after a gap of five years as a part of his Mathematics tour and concluded his three-night stint on February 19 in Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium.

On the third and final day of his concert in Brisbane, Ed Sheeran kickstarted the night at around 8.15 PM (AEST) with his electrifying performance on Tides, Blow, I Am Mess and Shiver. He then changed his guitar, which was the first out of the eight times he did so, and also took a moment to share with his fans about how ticket sales of the third day of his concert in Brisbane broke records of the first two days.

In the first 30 minutes, he managed to sing seven songs, including The A Team, Castle On The Hill, and Don’t. While the next 30 had his hits like Beautiful People, I Don’t Care and even Dive, which left fans flashing lights as he performed.

After Galway Girl and Celestial, Ed Sheeran changed his guitar for the second time and even got everyone to sing the chorus of Thinking Out Loud. As the evening proceeded, the 2-hour nonstop concert had him perform on his superhit songs such as Love Yourself, Sing and Photograph.

Interestingly, Sheeran also shared with his fans some anecdotes before singing each song and it included Perfect. He said that this song was for a girl he fell in love with in 2015 and now has 2 kids with her.

The other songs he performed on were Afterglow, Shape Of You and Bad Habits. He concluded the Brisbane leg of his Australian tour with the song I Don’t Need You.

Sheeran’s Mathematics tour saw the star perform for the first time with a massive 360-degree stage, pyrotechnics and projections. These Brisbane shows were also the first in Australia since his record-breaking Divide Tour back in 2018.

The doors for the concert opened at around 5 PM (AEST) with Budjerah and Maisie Peters keeping fans engaged with their performances.

Ticket prices ranged from as high as $189.90 for ‘A’ reserve area and as low as $89.90 for ‘D’. While entry charges for ‘B’ and ‘C’ reserve areas in the stadium stand at $149.90 and $109.90 respectively. Fans were also seen queuing up outside the Suncorp Stadium and guess what? It wasn’t just for entry but also for a variety of merchandise available at two huge stalls.

For the unversed, Ed Sheeran kicked off his world tour in Australia while ringing in his 32nd birthday on February 17. At the backstage, he was also accompanied by his close friends Liam Hemsworth and Paul Barrie O’Brien.

Chris Hemsworth also showed up on the second day of his concert in Brisbane. In fact, the duo exchanged super interesting gifts with one another. While Sheeran gave him one of his guitars, Hemsworth handed over to the singer-songwriter his infamous Thor hammer.

Ed Sheeran will now be heading to Sydney for a concert on February 24th and 25th at Accor Stadium. He will then be performing at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 2nd and 3rd March, Adelaide Oval on March 7 and Optus Stadium in Perth on March.
