The event is just around the corner, and Samsung will likely introduce the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone and a new Galaxy Z Flip 5 phone. Although the launch is a few weeks away, details about the price of the upcoming Samsung foldable phones have surfaced online. Here are all the details.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 price leak explained

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 with 256GB variant is said to cost EUR 1,199 (around Rs 1,09,830 or $1,323). To recall, its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 256GB model was announced in India for Rs 89,999. While the previous leak reported that this year’s model will cost the same as the 2023 version, the fresh leak from 9to5Google claims that the price will be EUR 50 (around Rs 4,580) higher for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. But, Indian prices are usually lower than European markets. Since price details are not official, people are advised to take the leak with a pinch of salt.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 price leak explained

The leak claims that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone with 256GB model will cost EUR 1,899, which is around $2120 or Rs 1,73,960 when converted into US as well as Indian currency. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 was launched in India for Rs 1,54,999 for the same model and it was made available for $1,799 in the US.

This leak suggests that Samsung is considering raising the prices by a massive margin. But, the Indian price is usually a bit lower than in European markets and so, the device is expected to cost much less than the above-mentioned figure. A price hike of EUR 100 is being suggested for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which is roughly Rs 9,160 in India.

It is worth noting that a recent leak claimed that the next generation Samsung foldable phone price will be lower than older Galaxy Z Fold phones, but it didn’t reveal the exact details.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5Leaked specifications

Tipster Yogesh Brar has claimed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Additionally, the phone is said to sport a 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED outer display and a 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED folding display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, we could see a 4,400mAh battery, which is the same as the older model, so no improvement here, as per leaks. Also, this battery is pretty small too and people will likely have to charge it more often.

One of the key aspects of the phone that has been subject to rumors is its camera setup. Initial reports suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 would boast a 108-megapixel main camera, a 64-megapixel 2x telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. However, the tipster refuted these claims and instead stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 would have a camera system similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The new Samsung foldable phone is tipped to come with a 50-megapixel rear primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.

The leaked information also suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature an under-display selfie camera as well as a camera for the front panel. The selfie camera is rumored to be a 4-megapixel sensor, while the outer camera could have a resolution of a 10-megapixel sensor. Brar further mentioned the possibility of new image sensors, but it is unknown whether the company will use new ones for all sensors or only replace specific lenses.
