By India Today Lifestyle DeskComedian and actor Pete Davidson is seeking treatment at a rehabilitation centre in Pennsylvania after struggling with borderline personality disorder and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The Saturday Night Live show star “will be getting out soon,” People magazine reported. “Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,” a source close to the comedian told the publication. “His friends and family have been supportive during this time,” the source added.

Another person close to Pete told the magazine that the comedian always steps up and gets help when he knows he needs it.

Pete’s admission comes days after he made headlines for reckless driving as he smashed his Mercedes into a Beverly Hills home.

Pete, who lost his firefighter father in the 9/11 terrorist attacks at the age of 7, has been vocal about his mental health struggles. In 2018, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder after years of battling depression and anxiety. He entered a rehabilitation centre in December 2016 after experiencing mental breakdowns.

The SNL star also took trauma therapy because of the incessant hate he received from Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West. “The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for (Pete), and he’s had to seek out help,” a source told People magazine. Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson dated for a few months before calling it quits around July 2022.
