The bowling from the hosts was really good as they came back brilliantly in the death over to pin the Kiwis on their backfoot and they held onto tight lines and lengths specially Naseem Shah who was finally rewarded with a couple in his last over. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf took a couple too, while Shadab Khan chipped in with one. Although, Pakistan would be extremely disappointed with the way they fielded. There were plenty of misfields which allowed the Kiwis batters to turn their one into twos. Pakistan will be hoping that this does not have an impact later on. So then, the target is not a big one as the pitch looks like a belter for the batters. Pakistan would be delighted to head back out on the track. We are at the halfway stage of this game as New Zealand has managed to score 288 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. The Kiwi innings started off in a slow manner but picked up pace in the later stage of the first powerplay. The wicket of Chad Bowes proved critical as they lost the momentum that was gained. Will Young and Daryl Mitchell then took the responsibility and batted really well together before the dismissal of Will Young on 86. Daryl Mitchell continued his strokeplay and ended up scoring a century. Daryl Mitchell was the top scorer for the team with a score of 113 to his name.
