While details about this are scarce, the company has confirmed several important features and other details of the upcoming 5G phone. -Nothing has confirmed the display size of the Phone (2). In its latest Twitter post, the company has revealed that the upcoming 5G phone’s panel will be 0.15-inch bigger than the Nothing Phone (1). This means that the new Nothing Phone (2) will come with a massive 6.7-inch display. You can expect this to feature an OLED screen, similar to the first-generation phone.

– Nothing has announced in a Twitter post that its new phone’s battery is 200mAh bigger than the previous unit, which makes it clear the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) will come with a 4,700mAh battery. Its predecessor – the Nothing Phone (1) – offers a 4,500mAh unit.

-The Nothing Phone (2) will use Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which powers several flagship phones in 2022. Pei claimed that the new 5G phone will offer 80 percent faster performance compared to the Nothing Phone (1). This isn’t surprising because the older phone uses a mid-range chipset and the upcoming Nothing phone will pack a flagship chip, so people will likely witness a big difference in terms of performance.

-Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei has explained on Twitter why the company has chosen the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip for its new phone. He says that this chip will offer better performance than the Snapdragon 7 series in terms of battery life, network connectivity, camera capabilities, and more. Of course, the Snapdragon 8 Gen series is a flagship SoC from Qualcomm and so, it will give a much faster performance to users.

-The Nothing Phone (2) is confirmed to receive three years of major Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates. This means that this will be a future proof 5G phone.

-Nothing is also vouching that the Phone (2) is more eco-friendly as the company has used over 90 percent recycled steel on all 28 steel stamping parts, and 80 percent of plastic parts are sustainably sourced, among other things.

-The device has aluminum side frames, which are 100 percent recycled. The packaging material is also plastic free and is made of over 60 percent recycled fibre.

-The camera sensors are yet to be revealed by the company, but it has confirmed that users will get camera features such as Raw HDR and 4K video recording at 60fps.

-The upcoming smartphone will likely run on the latest Android version because the company followed the same for the first generation product. Hence, the Phone (2) will run on Android 13 OS out of the box.

-The Nothing Phone (2) will go on sale via Flipkart as the teasers for the launch event are already up on this e-commerce platform.
