One of the latest teasers by the company’s CEO, Carl Pei, reveals that the charging cable of the Phone (2) will have a semi-transparent design, which is Nothing’s signature design. While the cable looks cool, the more important thing is whether Nothing will bundle a charger in the retail box of the device. Well, it didn’t ship one with its first smartphone, so we don’t expect it to offer the same with the Nothing Phone (2). Hence, people will likely be required to spend extra on the charger. Though, people can choose to use any other charger that they might have at their home.

As of now, there is no official information on charging support, but we do know that the new 5G phone from Nothing will pack a
4,700mAh battery under the hood. This is an upgrade over the 4,500mAh battery unit seen inside its predecessor. The Nothing Phone (1) was launched with support for 33W fast charging tech and the company is selling a 45W charging brick via Flipkart. The adapter is priced at Rs 2,442 on this e-commerce platform.

As for the design of the Nothing Phone (2), the company is yet to fully reveal details in this area. A 10-second video posted by Nothing suggests that the handset will have minor design changes at the back, but the company’s CEO is confident that the new phone will woo users. The short clip showed that the Phone (2) could come with the same semi-transparent back panel design, but with a new light setup. It showed changes in the appearance of the LED strip and wireless charging coil. Both elements are now broken into multiple parts. This means that users could have more options to customize different lights, which is something that the company’s CEO Carl Pei also said. He asserted that the new device will have more customization options for the Glyph interface.

Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (2) will sport a bigger 6.7-inch screen. Comparatively, the Nothing Phone (1) offers a 6.55-inch display. We do expect the company to offer support for wireless charging tech because the same was available on the first-generation phone too. The latest Nothing phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which the company’s CEO confirmed way before the launch event.
