The new teaser shows the rear of the Kia Sonet facelift. The LED taillights have been redesigned and are connected now, similar to the one seen on the Kia Seltos facelift. The rear bumper has been refurbished as well.

The Kia Sonet facelift’s instrument panel has been borrowed from the Kia Seltos facelift. But the most important addition is ADAS, which is already present in the Kia Sonet’s cousin, the Hyundai Venue.

The ADAS suite of the Hyundai Venue gets features like forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist (car, pedestrian and cycle), lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, lane following assist, high beam assist and leading vehicle departure alert. We expect the Kia Sonet facelift to get all these features as well.

The first teaser showed the redesigned front of the Kia Sonet facelift with a new grille, fresh LED headlights, DRLs and fog lights, and redone bumper. There is a completely new infotainment system. We are also expecting the Kia Sonet facelift to get a 360-degree camera.

Under the hood, the Kia Sonet facelift will continue to offer three engine choices — 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine; 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. These powertrains are expected to retain their current transmission pairings, which include a 5-speed manual for the petrol; a 6-speed iMT and 6-speed DCT for the turbo-petrol; and a 6-speed iMT and 6-speed AT for the diesel.

The Kia Sonet facelift price is expected to range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model will be unveiled on December 14 with its launch expected in January 2024.
