Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos continue to dominate mid-size SUV segment

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos became the volume leaders in the mid-size SUV section in January, racing ahead of the similarity the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor.

Grand Vitara leads

The Seltos has 3 engine alternatives — Smartstream 1.5-litre Turbo-GDi gas (160PS/253Nm), Smartstream 1.5-litre NA gas (115PS/144Nm) and Smartstream 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel (116PS/250Nm). The turbo gas system can be paired either with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT, the NA fuel system with a 6-speed MT or an IVT, and the diesel system with a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed AT.
