Maruti Suzuki Eeco reaches 1 million units sales milestone

By India Today Auto DeskThe Maruti Suzuki Eeco has reached the sales milestone of 1 million units since its launch in India in 2010. Being the largest-selling van in the country, it enjoys over 94% share in its segment.

Available in 13 variants across five-seater, seven-seater, cargo, tour and ambulance guises, the Eeco is priced between Rs 5.22 lakh and Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powering the vehicle is Suzuki’s trusted 1.2-litre K-Series Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine, which produces 80.76PS of maximum power and 104.4Nm of peak torque. In CNG mode, it delivers 71.65PS of maximum power and 95Nm of peak torque. There is only a 5-speed manual transmission with no option for an automatic unit.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco petrol mileage is claimed to be 20.20km/l, while the Maruti Suzuki Eeco CNG mileage comes at 27.05km/kg.

The Eeco boasts features like reclining front seats, cabin air filter (in A/C variants), engine immobiliser, illuminated hazard switch, dual airbags and ABS with EBD.

“Interestingly, the first 5 lakh sales milestone for Eeco took eight years, while the next 5 lakh sales milestone was achieved in under five years, speaking volumes about the quality, trust, and reliability it brings to the table,” he added.
