Isle of Man records the lowest ever T20 score of 10 against Spain

The Isle of Man recorded the lowest score in the history of T20 cricket after they were bowled out for 10 in 8.4 overs against Spain.

By India Today Sports DeskThe Isle of Man, on Sunday, February 26, recorded the lowest score in the history of T20 cricket. The team, captained by Carl Haartman, was bowled out for 10 in 8.4 overs against Spain at the La Manga Club Bottom Ground.

Sydney Thunder held the previous record after they scored 15 runs against the Adelaide Strikers in the 2022-23 edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). As far as the Isle of Man are concerned, seven of their batters failed to get into double digits.

Joseph Burrows top scored for them, scoring four runs off seven balls. Atif Mehmood was the pick of the Spanish bowlers after he finished with figures of 4-2-6-4. Mohammad Kamran and Lorne Burns picked up three and two wickets respectively.

The Isle of Man also registered the lowest score in the history of T20Is. They broke a four-year record set by Turkey, who were bowled out for 21 against the Czech Republic at Ilfov County in 2019.

The Isle of Man’s previous lowest score of 66 came against Spain on February 25. Isle of Man have played 16 T20Is thus far, out of which they have won eight and lost seven. One match ended in no result.

They won all three of their matches against Cyprus, while they beat Estonia twice. They also defeated Romania, Serbia and Turkey once.

Isle of Man lost their six-match T20I series against Spain 0-5. They started the series with an 81-run defeat, after which the second match was washed off. Spain won the third and fourth game by eight and six wickets respectively to claim the series 3-0.

Thereafter, Spain won the fifth T20I by seven wickets, following which they finished off with a comprehensive win.
