The four-time IPL Champions are returning to Chepauk after their comprehensive win over MI in the previous game at their homeground and will be looking to keep the momentum going against the Capitals on Wednesday. CSK currently are second on the table and win would put them one point behind toppers GT.

Dhoni won the toss on the day and opted to bat first and explained why he went with the choice. The CSK skipper said that there are chances the wicket may slow down and suggested that he doesn’t have any complains with the track.
Dhoni said that the team’s mantra is to keep things simple and reiterated that they’re trying to accomplish and execute their plans on a regular basis.
CSK has made one change to the side with Ambati Rayudu replacing Matheesha Pathirana, who is in the subs lineup.
“We will bat first. We have played a few games on this wicket. There are chances of this wicket slowing down. We can’t complain about this track. We try to keep it simple. We try to keep reiterating the same thing. Try to accomplish your plan. Try to execute your plans. We have one change. Rayudu comes in for Dube,” said Dhoni.
