By India Today Sports DeskRajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal wants to forget the match against SunRisers Hyderabad. Rajasthan fell to a heart-breaking loss, their second in a row in the Indian Premier League 2023 on Sunday, May 7. Defending 16 in the final over of the match, pacer Sandeep Sharma was seemingly doing well, but all plans went for a toss when the IPL veteran bowled a front-foot no-ball in the final ball of the innings.

Needing 5 from the last ball, SRH’s Abdul Samad cracked a six, to take his team over the line in a riveting finish at Jaipur. Speaking after the game, Chahal said that it would be better for his team to forget about this outing altogether.

“It is part of the game. We will storm back together. The sooner we will forget this match the better it will be for us,” Chahal told the media in the post-match press conference.

Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson looked gutted after the match and had no words to explain the loss. Asked if the first innings score was enough, Samson told Nick Knight that he did not know.

Chahal said that the pain of the loss would take some time to go away, but it was a good thing that they were still in the hunt for the play-offs this season.

“It will take time, but still, three matches are there, and if we win our remaining three games, we are still in the hunt for play-offs,” Chahal said after the match

After the loss, Rajasthan Royals remained in the fourth position in the points table with 10 points from 11 matches. The team are tied in points with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings and run the risk of slipping down the points table.
