By India Today Auto DeskHyundai Motor India has officially revealed its micro-SUV, the Hyundai Exter. The upcoming Tata Punch-rival can be booked at Hyundai dealerships across the country or via the carmaker’s Click To Buy online platform on payment of a token amount of Rs 11,000.
Hyundai Exter Engine & Transmission
The Hyundai Exter gets the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, which is also employed by the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Hyundai Aura. The engine develops 83PS of maximum power and 113.8Nm of peak torque, and can be paired either with a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. The micro-SUV also has a bi-fuel option (petrol + CNG) with a 5-speed MT.

The micro-SUV has five variants in all — EX, S, SX, SX(O) & SX(O) Connect.
Hyundai Exter Features
Like several Hyundai cars, the Exter also has a parametric front grille flanked by projector headlamps. You find ‘EXTER’ moniker above the grille. The H-signature LED DRLs look unique while the faux skid plate adds a hint of sportiness. The Exter sits on diamond-cut alloy wheels. It has a floating roof design with a parametric design C-pillar garnish and bridge-type roof rails.
Hyundai Exter Colours
The Exter has six monotone and three dualtone exterior colour options, including two fresh additions in the form of Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki.
Hyundai Exter Price
We expect the Hyundai Exter to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Exter Launch
It might be possible that Hyundai launches the Exter in June.
