By India Today Auto DeskHero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V 2023. The updated motorcycle is priced between Rs 1,27,300 and Rs 1,36,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company is claiming that the new Xtreme 160R 4V has best-in-class acceleration and drag-race timing, and the fastest acceleration from O-60kmph, 0-100kmph and 0-top speed.

The new Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants — Standard, Connected 2.0 and Pro. Below are their prices (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bookings are now open for the motorcycle and its customer deliveries will start in the second week of July.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V 2023 Specifications
The new Xtreme 160R 4V employs a 163cc, 4-valve, air-oil-cooled BS6-OBD2-E20-compliant petrol engine, which develops 16.9PS of maximum power and 14.6Nm of peak twisting force. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle sits on a tubular diamond frame and has new KYB USD front forks and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The base variant (Standard) gets a telescopic front suspension. The 17-inch alloys are shod with tubeless tyres. There is a disc each at the front (276mm) and rear (220mm). Sadly, there is only a single-channel ABS with no option for dual-channel. The motorcycle is claimed to touch 60kmph from a standstill in 4.41 seconds.
Hero claims that the new Xtreme 160R 4V has the lowest-in-class kerb weight, at 144kg for Standard and Connected 2.0 variants, and 145Kg for the Pro variant.

Among the top features of the new Xtreme 160R 4V are LED lights (headlight, taillight and winkers), a new fuel tank that looks much more muscular, a new split seat and a digital inverted instrument cluster, which beams information about Bluetooth status, battery health status, service alert, gear position, ABS/engine malfunction and call/SMS/missed call alerts, among others.
Hero Connect 2.0
The Xtreme 160R 4V now gets Hero Connect 2.0 (connectivity technology). It provides over 25 notifications about the motorcycle’s health and safety through the instrument cluster and mobile app.
