Google co-founder's ex-wife reveals truth around rumours of her affair with Twitter CEO Elon Musk

However, the news of their divorce soon turned into a scandal after reports surfaced online, alleging that Shanahan had an affair with Twitter CEO Elon Musk. Shanahan faced public criticism for cheating on her husband and was even labelled as a gold digger. While Elon Musk himself denied the allegations and called the news baseless, Shanahan recently revealed the truth about the rumours.

In a recent interview with People’s magazine, Shanahan strongly denied the affair allegations with Tesla and Twitter Boss Elon Musk. Recalling the difficult times of divorce and surrounding rumours, Shanahan SAID,””I remember feeling like everything I had ever worked for was under siege by a press cycle that had no idea what was going on in my life and who I wasâ€æ Did Elon and I have sex, like it was a moment of passion, and then it was over? No..Did we have a romantic relationship? No. We didn’t have an affair.”

The reports and rumours around Shanahan cheating on Sergey Brin were fueled when the Wall Street Journal reported that Nicole had a brief affair with Elon, which ultimately resulted in her separation from her husband.

Replying to the rumours, earlier Elon Musk himself stated them as baseless and said, ” This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night!…. “I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romanticâ€æ Haven’t even had sex in ages (sigh).

In her interview, Shanahan also referred to Elon as her colleague and emphasised that they had been in contact to discuss her daughter’s autism treatment, considering his involvement with “Neuralink,” Musk’s neurotechnology company. She mentioned that such discussions were common within the Silicon Valley community, of which her husband was also a part. “Elon was another person in this group of people. There’s almost this generational ecosystem and it’s a community. You run ideas past each other and you ask questions,” Shanahan added.

Well, it’s not the first time that Elon Musk got the headline for affairs, given he manages to be on the pages for his statements around Twitter and industry rivals. From dating Amber Heard to having kids with Grimes, the Twitter and Tesla CEO has quite a long list of affairs and speculations around his personal life.

As for the real time buzz, Elon Musk is currently busy facing the new rival of Twitter i.e Threads by Meta. This Mark Zuckerberg’s headed text-based social media app is gaining significant hype and is being called a killer of the bird app.
