The Google head himself revealed that he is one of the first users of any new device Google launches. He does test all the latest devices including the latest Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a. In a recent interview with YouTuber Arun Maini, popularly known as “Mrwhosetheboss,” Pichai disclosed that he has been testing the Pixel Fold for quite some time. However, the Pixel phone is not the only smartphone he uses. Pichai reveals that he has been using the Pixel 7 Pro as his primary device, along with a Samsung Galaxy device and an iPhone for testing purposes.

“Right now it’s the Pixel 7 Pro, but I’m testing, I use everything – from Samsung Galaxy to the new Pixel Fold to the iPhone,” said Google CEO when asked about his primary smartphone. But for the fold, Mr Pichai loves testing the device and using it to multitask and work on different apps at once. Pichai noted that he has different SIM cards for his different phones.

Maini further asked Pichai if he is using a foldable smartphone, Pichai affirmed that he has been using and testing Fold for a long time now but for regular use he prefers his primary device. “If I’m just travelling and I’m busy in a day and all I’m doing is pulling out my phone and quick-checking email, I’m like, well, I’d rather take a lighter phone,” he explained.

Talking further about the future of smartphones, Pichai further reveals that with Pixel Fold, the company wanted to push the frontier of what’s possible in the technology and make devices which offer people more functionality and help them in what they do. “Foldables aren’t really the end destination”, Google CEO quoted.

Further the Youtube and Mr Pichai also got candid over the recent emergence of AI. Pichai says that the future of AI will be more natural, unlike today where the tech is in just early stages. In the coming years AI will become more interactive, with natural languages and phones will understand everything. He notes that till date humans are the ones who were adapting to AI, but in future “Ai is what will actually enable computers to actually adapt to humans.”
