England are marching towards a win here. They started with Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector being sensible but the former got out in the process. Tector got out as well just after reaching to his fifty. Now, Mark Adair and Andy McBrine have been batting aggressively and the plan is working out well for the Irish team. It will take more than that though to bat with the same plan against England who needed this break to recharge. Josh Tongue yet again was the man for them. He went short and kept it tight. Jack Leach too was decent. England will hope to wrap things in the next session while Ireland will hope these two bat for as long as possible.

A day that belongs to England. Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector have done really well though for Ireland to build a stand and make sure no more wickets fell. Early on, Ireland lost two wickets in no time. James McCollum was then retired hurt with an unfortunate injury. Paul Stirling too after getting a start failed to stick around. Credit to England as they bossed with the ball. The debutant, Josh Tongue in particularly as he was sharp and ended with three wickets. England are well and truly ahead in the game. They batted well on Day 2, Ollie Pope in particular who scored a double-century. The others hung around and scored well too. England will hope to continue the good work with the ball on Day 3.
