AP Dhillon, Hrithik Roshan went heavy with their neckpieces at NMACC fashion gala. Brown Munde, take notes

Take cues from none other than AP Dhillon and Hrithik Roshan, who made heads turn at the fashion gala hosted at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on April 1. Yes, celebrity divas sure ruled the pink carpet and turned up in their dazzling and dramatic best, but the men weren’t behind in the sartorial game either. With dapper dudes dressed in everything from dazzling blazers to maximalist ethnic ensembles, the event turned out to be a major fashion update for what’s trending in menswear. For us, it was the heavy neck jewellery game that stole the show.

It is not every day that we see a celebrity styling his crisp tailored suit and a heavy diamond-and-emerald choker. That’s exactly what Indo-Canadian singer AP Dhillon rocked at the NMACC event held over the weekend. The singer, who also performed at the event and made everyone groove to his songs, opted for a red Gucci blazer over a black T-shirt with a matching pair of trousers. Making a strong fashion statement, a pair of bejewelled necklaces from Mahesh Notandass Fine Jewellery were his picks. Oh boy, how effortlessly he pulled them off!

Heartthrob Hrithik Roshan too made a strong case for ornate neck jewellery as he arrived at the event in a Jade by MK ensemble. The all-black ethnic ensemble was an elegant choice, but what stole the show was a dazzling necklace featuring a glimmering pendant.

Meezaan Jafri also proved it is cool to wear a heavy necklace, as he attended the event in an ivory ethnic ensemble with an impossible-to-ignore jewellery piece adorning his neck.

Not a while back, we also saw Sidharth Malhotra embracing the heavy jewellery trend at his wedding with Kiara Advani. The Shershaah star had rocked an oversized jadau necklace with his regal golden sherwani designed by Manish Malhotra. Ranveer Singh, too, had rocked an ornate assemblage of jewellery for his Sindhi-style wedding with Deepika Padukone. But, you no longer need to restrict the jewels to the wedding wardrobe.
