Deepika’s jaw-dropping appearance was minimalist in choice and maximalist in appearance. While she nailed a monotone outfit for the main event, where she presented for the best original song category, the diva slipped into a feathery attire in dark pinkish purple, by designer Naeem Khan, with other accessories like gloves, footwear and stockings painted in black.
The short dress added volume to her slender figure and was cinched at the waist with a broad black belt. The sleeves fell just above the elbows. A pair of sleek black gloves and sheer stockings added an old-world charm to the outfit.
Deepika’s messy top knot was quite a hit. For her makeup, the actress went with her signature winged eyeliner look in blue glitter that added a pop of colour to the colour palette. Letting the shade pop, she opted for a nude and shimmery base with light brown lips.
Adding sparkle to her attire was a pair of Cartier cascading diamonds.
Deepika was among the presenters at this year’s Oscars and stunned on the champagne carpet in a black velvet gown with a plunging neckline, off-shoulder accents and opera gloves. Mermaid-style pleats were swathed on the bottom part of the outfit. Along with her gown, Deepika styled a yellow diamond Cartier necklace with vintage bracelets and a ring.
Deepika was the only Indian celebrity to present an award at the 95th Academy Awards.
