By India Today Sports DeskDelhi Capitals skipper David Warner shared a video of himself imitating Ravindra Jadeja’s sword celebration in front of the CSK all-rounder during his team’s final IPL 2023 league match. Warner captioned the video asking, “Who does it better.”

Warner entertained his legion of fans once more on Saturday, this time while batting against Chennai Super Kings at Arun Jaitley Stadium. During the fifth over of the Capitals’ innings, while batting against Deepak Chahar, Warner mistimed a slower delivery but still went for a risky run. He would have been out if Moeen Ali, who was positioned at extra cover, had hit the stumps directly at the non-strikers’ end.

Warner, on the other hand, stood up right away after diving at the crease to go for another single. In fact, he stayed outside the crease to entice Ajinkya Rahane to throw to get rid of him. In the meantime, Rahane threw, and Warner returned to the crease. However, Jadeja was aware that Warner was having a light moment on the pitch, and as a result, he threatened the Australian with a throw. Warner responded by performing Jadeja’s trademark sword celebration, and the two burst out laughing.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by 77 runs to secure a spot in the Indian Premier League play-offs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. CSK finished the 14-match league stage with 17 points, good enough for a last-four spot.

Batting first, opener Devon Conway’s 87 off 51 balls and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 79 off 50 deliveries helped CSK to a healthy 223 for 3. Conway’s innings included 11 fours and three sixes, while Gaikwad hit seven sixes and three boundaries in their 141-run opening stand. In response, DC only managed 146 for 9, with skipper David Warner’s 86 off 58 balls the only saving grace.
