Citroen's Creta, Grand Vitara, Seltos-rival to be unveiled on April 27

Citroen, which sells the C3 hatchback, E-C3 electric hatchback and C5 Aircross SUV, will showcase an all-new SUV on April 27.

The new Citroen SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor.

We are not quite sure whether this new Citroen SUV will be revealed in both five-seater and seven-seater configurations or only five-seater configuration. However, we do know that it will be based on the C3 platform.

The new Citroen SUV will reportedly employ the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is used by the Citroen C3 hatchback. This engine develops 110PS of maximum power and 190Nm of peak torque. The transmission options might include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT.

So far as the pricing of the new Citroen SUV is concerned, we are expecting it to undercut all its rivals. Do not be surprised if it comes with a sub-Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag.

Other models of the company, like the C3 is priced between Rs 6.16 lakh and Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and the E-C3 between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 12.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The flagship, C5 Aircross SUV, is priced at Rs 37.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
