Citroen e-C3 launched at Rs 11.50 lakh


The newest electric car on the block is the Citroen e-C3 which has been priced starting Rs 11.50 lakh.

By Anagh BhaskarCitroen has launched the e-C3 electric hatchback in India with prices starting at Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the car had been underway at Rs 25,000. The Citroen e-C3 uses a 29.3kWh battery pack which powers the front axle mounted 57bhp electric motor. The e-C3 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60kmph in 6.8 seconds (claimed) and a top speed of 107kmph. There are two driving modes – Eco and Standard, the car also gets regenerative braking.

Citroen claims an ARAI-claimed range of 320km. It is capable of using a DC charger to fill the battery up from 10 to 80 per cent in 57 minutes. A 3.3kW AC charger takes 10.5 hours to fill the battery up from 10 to 100 per cent.

The higher spec Feel comes with a 10.2-inch touch display with a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four-speaker audio, MyCitroen smartphone connectivity, dual airbags, ABS with EBD.

Citroen is offering a warranty of 7 years/1,40,000km on the battery, 5 years/1,00,000km on the motor and 3 years/1,25,000km on the vehicle.
