Jennifer Gates – Bill and Melinda Gates’s elder daughter – welcomed her first child with husband Nayel Nassar in March and had announced the news on social media with a post. Now, we finally caught a glimpse of the baby through Bill and Melinda Gates’s posts.
“I can’t wait to watch you discover the world,” Bill Gates said in his Instagram post that featured a heartwarming picture in which he was seen holding his grandchild in his arms.

Melinda Gates, in the picture that she shared, was all smiles as she cradled the baby with so much love and joy. “There is nothing quite like holding your first grandchild. It seems like just yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age. Now she has a baby of her own—and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents,” Melinda said in the emotional note that accompanied her post.
Congratulatory messages poured in from several quarters in the comments section of their posts. Union Minister Smriti Irani wished the new grandparents as did Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
