By Abhik SenguptaAfter launching the premium Xiaomi 13 Pro and affordable Redmi Note 12 series, Xiaomi has turned its attention to smart home products. The company introduced two new smart air purifiers, a new TV series, a vacuum robot, and a grooming kit at its Smarter Living 2023 event today.
Xiaomi says its new products are designed specifically to suit Indian customers’ needs (without burning a hole in your pocket). The new line of products includes the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4, Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite, Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2i, and Xiaomi Beard Trimmer 2C (Rs 1,199).
Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 and Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite
The new Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 and Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite look more or less similar, but the duo differ in sizes to suit the customers’ requirements. The regular Smart Air Purifier 4 covers more areas and is suitable for homes or big rooms. It offers 360-degree filtration with its three-layer filtration system. The company states the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 offers a Particle Clean Air Delivery Rate (PCADR) of up to 400m3/h, capable of circulating air across a maximum area of 516 sq. ft within 10 minutes. On the other hand, Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite comes with a PCADR of up to 360m3/h and can deliver 6000L of clean air per minute.
Xiaomi’s new air purifiers can do the basics — that filter out visible and invisible pollutants. The latter include PM 2.5, PM 10 particles, and even gas fumes. Xiaomi adds that the new purifier can “effectively filter” out allergens in the air.
Both the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 and the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite can be operated via a remote or the Xiaomi Home app. Users can also connect the devices with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa for hands-free control. The company promises low fan noise, with the regular model operating at 32.1db and the Lite variant’s fan noise level at 33.4db.
The Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 includes an OLED screen to check the mode and other indicators. The Lite model has an LED screen.

Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series
The new Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series includes three variants – 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch. The company says the X Pro models offer improved colours, contrast, saturation, and brightness across a wide colour gamut compared to the existing X series. The display also supports technologies such as Dolby Vision IQ and Vivid Picture Engine 2 to offer a more vivid viewing experience. Additionally, the display has slim bezels to maintain its premium look and offers 4K resolution.
In the audio department, the Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series features a 40W sound system with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound technologies. Unlike its previous Redmi TV powered by Amazon Fire TV OS, the new Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro runs Google TV OS. It means users can manage the device with the Google TV phone app as well. Otherwise, the TV supports all popular apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Liv, and Disney Plus Hotstar.
In terms of design, the TVs feature a premium look with a minimalistic and metallic design and carbon fibre finish on the back panel.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2i
After launching the Mi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Pro and Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop, the company has launched the Roomba-inspired Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2i.
As the name suggests, the Robot Vacuum-Mop 2i features a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop combo. Xiaomi states the new vacuum-mop uses 2,200 pa suction and its powerful brushes make it ideal for homes. The robot vacuum also includes a Gyroscope and Optical Sensor Aided Navigation to map “complex” home layouts. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2i has specially designed zig-zag cleaning to cover every corner of the house. Equipped with a 450 ml independent large dust compartment, the users do not need to clean up the garbage frequently, saving time and effort.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2i comes with a large battery that can clean areas of more than 1200 sq ft easily with up to 100-minute run time.
