On Wednesday, Suryakumar was castled by left-arm spinner Ashton for a first-ball 0 in the series finale of the 3-match ODI series in Chennai.

It was the third successive time Suryakumar Yadav got out for a golden duck in the ongoing ODI series. Suryakumar set an unwanted record as he became the first Indian batter to be dismissed for first-ball ducks in all matches of an ODI series.

Suryakumar Yadav was out for first-ball ducks in the Mumbai and Visakhapatnam ODIs to Mitchell Starc. He was trapped LBW by Starc’s inswingers in both matches.

Suryakumar Yadav got out at a crucial phase in India’s chase of 270 in the series decider. The star batter was out bowled by left-arm spinner after he stayed back on the creams to a delivery that was bowled at 91 kmph. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 54 must the previous delivery as Agar brought the Australians back into the contest.
