Tata Altroz gets 2 new variants, electric sunroof now made more affordable


The Tata Altroz takes on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Hyundai i20.

By India Today Auto DeskTata Motors today announced the launch of two new variants in the Altroz line-up, the XM and XM(S). While the XM is priced at Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the XM(S) is available at Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The two new variants of the Altroz are being offered with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This motor produces 88PS of max power and 115Nm of peak torque.

The new Tata Altroz XM variant will come equipped with features such as steering-mounted controls, height-adjustable driver seat, and electrically-adjustable and foldable ORVMs. The XM(S) will additionally boast an electric sunroof.

The XM and XM(S) variants will be positioned between the XE and XM+ variants. Also, the Altroz has now become the most affordable premium hatchback with an electric sunroof.

Besides, the Altroz now has all four power windows and remote keyless entry as standard across petrol manual variants. Other than that, Tata has added reverse camera, height-adjustable driver seat and cruise control to XM+ and XM+S variants.
