The new Galaxy S21 FE 5G comes with 256GB of internal storage and five colours, including Navy, Olive, Lavender, White and Graphite. Its price in India is set at Rs 49,999. Samsung is offering deals on the device, including a 15-month no-cost EMI option starting at Rs 3,334 per month. The Galaxy S21 FE 5G will be available to purchase from July 11 onwards via Samsung.com and retail stores.

The Snapdragon 888 SoC-powered variant is much more affordable than the Exynos 2100 SoC-enabled model. The latter launched for Rs 54,999 for the 128GB storage option and Rs 58,999 for 256GB storage.

The price drop is likely due to the addition of an old chipset. Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 888 SoC in 2021. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are expected to draw power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC.

Snapdragon 888 SoC-powered Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, features a dated design with rear cameras housed inside a rectangular bump. In contrast, the newer Samsung phones have a sleeker design with three camera cutouts on the back, eliminating the need for a bump.

Some users may also like the phone for its relatively compact display. The Galaxy S21 FE 5G features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and AI-based blue light control for a dynamic scrolling experience. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, while the frame is made of aluminium.

The phone also ships with Android 13 out of the box. The rear camera system includes a 12-megapixel (UW), a 12-megapixel wide, and an 8-megapixel tele camera. The front panel houses a 32-megapixel camera for selfies. The camera app features modes, like Dual Recording, Portrait Mode, Enhanced Night Mode, 3X optical zoom, and 30X Space Zoom.

It comes with wireless power share and wireless fast charging 2.0 and supports 25W Super-Fast charging. Galaxy S21 FE 5G also includes 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
