By India Today Auto DeskAhmedabad-based electric two-wheeler start-up Matter has announced that its maiden electric motorcycle, the Aera, has registered 40,000 bookings. The Aera can be booked via the company website or through platforms like Flipkart and OTO Capital.
The Matter Aera is currently being offered in two variants — Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+. While the Aera 5000 is priced at Rs 1.74 lakh in New Delhi, the Aera 5000+ comes at Rs 1.84 lakh.
The Aera 5000 and the Aera 5000+ employ a 10kW motor paired with an in-house developed 5kWh battery pack, which is claimed to have multiple patented technologies, including the integrated intelligent thermal management system (IITMS) that uses active liquid cooling. The motor is mated to a HyperShift 4-speed manual transmission.
Matter is now gearing up for experience rides and deliveries of the Aera in the coming months. The customers who have pre-booked the Aera will be among the first to experience the electric motorcycle.
