2023 Hyundai Verna price is expected to start at Rs 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Verna is based on Hyundai’s global design identity of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’.

Hyundai Motor India today unveiled the design renders of the 2023 Hyundai Verna, which will be launched in the country on March 21. Entering its sixth generation now, the new Verna has been completely redone on Hyundai’s global design identity of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’.

The sporty front of the 2023 Hyundai Verna gets a new blacked-out grille with integrated LED headlamps. There are LED strips running in symmetry across the face of the vehicle. The bumper needs to be admired for its sharpness. The taillamps are also LED units.

The sportiness at the front is carried over to the side as well. The sharp character lines do add a hint of premium touch. The alloy wheels look quite sporty too. However, the rising beltline and coupe-like rear portion of the new Hyundai Verna make this mid-size sedan stand out.

The new Verna can be booked at Hyundai dealerships or via the official website of the company on payment of a token amount of Rs 25,000. It will rival the likes of the 2023 Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

The 2023 Verna has two engine options, both being E20 fuel-ready and real driving emission (RDE)-compliant. There is a 1.5-litre TGDi petrol mill, which can be paired either with a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT automatic. There is also a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated MPi petrol motor with 6-speed MT and IVT automatic options. There is no diesel mill on offer.

Hyundai has already announced that the new Verna will have four variants — EX, S, SX and SX(O). It gets seven monotone and two dual-tone colour options.

The outgoing Hyundai Verna was priced between Rs 9.64 lakh and Rs 15.72 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the 2023 Hyundai Verna price to start at Rs 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).

“Today, we are glad to showcase design renders and direction of the all-new Hyundai Verna. With the introduction of this futuristic and ferocious sedan, we are aiming to elevate customer experiences and rejuvenate interest in this segment,” said Unsoo Kim, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India.

“Through its dynamic proportions and distinctive parametric motifs, the all-new Hyundai Verna will define new aspirations and pave the way for futuristic experiences,” he added.
